Anthurium clarinervium is known for their decorative foliage with its dark green, deeply lobed heart shaped leaves and contrasting white veins. It is considered moderately easy to care for, provided you provide its natural tropical environment. The prominent veins on its leaves are a wide ivory to a light green colour, and not unlike the pattern of corrugated cardboard, which gives the plant its common name, velvet cardboard anthurium.
