Calathea Orbifolia

With its lush green foliage the Calathea orbifolia is a beautiful statement plant to display in your home.

Also known as a prayer plant, the leaves are light green with silvery-green stripes and can grow up to 40 cm long. The leaves are round with slightly wavy edges giving the plant its botanical name – ‘orbifolia’ which in Latin orbis meaning round, and folia meaning leaf. The leaves move throughout the day following the light and curl up at night, as most prayer plants do. Although it rarely blooms as a houseplant, it can produce white and star-shaped flowers.
