Variegated Maranta leuconeura kerchoveana also known as the Rabbit Foot prayer plant is a great first choice plant for a beginner plant owner. Given its name for the vivid, bright green leaves with a deeper dash of green that is reminiscent of the animal print. This plant produces both Aurea yellow, and Albo white variegation, with potential to pop reds also. The undersides of the leaves are gray-green to purple-green colour. New leaves will appear as a rolled tube before unrolling to show off its awesomeness. The beautifully variegated leaves fold at night to resemble praying hands.
